George Russell crossed the line ahead of both Ferraris, with Charles Leclerc finishing second and Lewis Hamilton close behind in third.
The start was absolute chaos. Ferrari launched well off the line while Max Verstappen dropped several places down the order. The madness continued throughout the opening lap as Kimi Antonelli collided with the Red Bull of Isack Hadjar, while Arvid Lindblad spun around in the early skirmishes.
Hamilton refused to back down from Russell’s dominant Mercedes. The two battled intensely in the early stages, briefly trading the lead as they pushed hard at the front of the field.
As the race settled down, Antonelli was handed a 10-second penalty for the opening-lap collision. On the same lap, both Lindblad and Valtteri Bottas retired their cars from the race.
On Lap 12, Nico Hülkenberg’s Audi stopped on track, bringing out the Safety Car. Most of the grid took the opportunity to pit for fresh tires, while Antonelli served his time penalty during the caution period.
The race restarted with just three laps remaining. Russell managed to withstand the pressure from the Ferraris behind to secure the victory. Oscar Piastri briefly overtook Antonelli before the start/finish line on the restart, but later gave the position back. Sergio Perez also received a five-second penalty during the closing stages.
