The Month of May is Here as Palou Leads the Charge!

The Month of May has arrived for the NTT IndyCar Series, following Long Beach, where Alex Palou secured his third win of the season.

Every driver dreams of winning the Indianapolis 500, but before lifting the Borg-Warner Trophy, execution across every session is critical. The journey begins with the Sonsio Grand Prix on May 8–9.

The championship battle is tighter than many expected at this stage, with Palou leading Kyle Kirkwood by just 17 points. Kirkwood may need to focus on limiting the damage, as Palou dominated the Month of May last year, winning both the Sonsio Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500.

When it comes to Indianapolis, Team Penske is always a major factor. Josef Newgarden will be aiming for his third Indy 500 victory, while Scott McLaughlin looks to rebound after his spin before the green flag last year. David Malukas will also be one to watch as he settles into his new ride with Penske.

Despite a difficult start to the season, Pato O’Ward will be looking to turn things around, and there’s no better place to do it than by finally capturing an Indy 500 win.
