It was a GM sweep on the streets of Detroit, with the Whelen Cadillac taking the overall victory and the Pratt Miller Corvette claiming the GTD PRO class win.

The race ran relatively clean until a late-race caution transformed the closing stages into an old-school street fight, with aggressive battles throughout the field.
GTP
It was domination from green flag to checkered flag for the #31 Whelen Cadillac. The team topped both practice sessions, claimed pole position, and built a 14-second lead before the late-race caution erased their advantage. The victory marks their fifth consecutive podium finish and moves them into the championship lead after Porsche Penske failed to finish on the podium.
Porsche Penske endured a difficult weekend. After a disastrous qualifying session that saw the #6 Porsche end up in the wall, the race initially appeared to be a recovery drive. The #6 worked its way into third place before the late caution, but contact on a restart heavily damaged the rear of the car, dropping it to eighth at the finish. The sister #7 kept its nose clean and came home fifth.
The #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac finally put together a strong result, scoring its first podium of the season. After a miserable start to the year, with a best finish of only 10th before Detroit, this third-place finish was a much-needed boost as the team looks to build momentum heading into the summer stretch.

The #9 Pfaff Motorsports entry carved its way through the carnage, climbing from the back of the field to finish second. The final podium position went to the #65 Ford Multimatic Motorsports team, which recovered from a mid-race tire issue that set them back before a timely late caution brought them back into contention.
The gloves were off throughout the GTD PRO field, and race stewards stayed busy. The #4 Corvette, #15 Lexus, and #65 Ford all suffered race-altering damage. The #15 Vasser Sullivan Lexus sustained heavy right-front damage after contact with the #4 Pratt Miller Corvette, which moved under braking.
