The JDC Miller Porsche 963 claimed overall victory, beating the #31 Cadillac Whelen entry in a dramatic finish.

The race’s only full-course yellow came with 90 minutes remaining, triggered by the #13 Corvette Z06 suffering a mechanical failure.

Starting from the back of the GTP grid, the Porsche 963 piloted by Heinrich and Van der Helm delivered an incredible drive, overtaking the Whelen Cadillac on the penultimate lap to secure victory. All three Cadillac entries are still searching for their first win of the season.

The Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillacs (#40 and #10) struggled, finishing 10th and 11th (DNF), respectively. Meanwhile, the #31 Whelen Cadillac continued its strong form with another second-place finish, this time ahead of the championship-leading #7 Porsche Penske.

The #25 BMW M Hybrid also charged through the field, climbing from 10th on the grid to finish third, a much-needed result for the team.

In Acura’s first race since announcing a pause in its IMSA program, Meyer Shank Racing delivered solid performances, with both ARX-06 entries finishing fourth and fifth.

The #65 Ford Racing Mustang executed a perfect strategy to take the class win, despite serving an early drive-through penalty for contact with the #7 GTP car. That contact caused a puncture, forcing an early stop, but the team capitalized on the caution to recover and ultimately win.

The #4 Pratt Miller Corvette finished just 1.2 seconds behind after running a similar strategy. Late in the race, a heated GTD Pro battle saw the #9 Pfaff Motorsports Lamborghini Temerario pushed wide at Rainey Curve, costing it several positions.

The final podium spot went to AO Racing’s #77 Porsche 911, “Rexy.” They appeared poised for a third consecutive Laguna Seca class win but were forced to pit with seven minutes remaining after failing to stretch fuel to the finish. The #3 and #14 entries followed them in on the same strategy, handing the lead to the #65 Mustang.

After starting from pole, the Vasser Sullivan #14 Lexus RC F struggled in the closing stages and finished ninth and last in class.

Early in the race, it was a two-car battle between the #45 Lamborghini and the #34 Conquest Racing Ferrari 296 GT3. However, disaster struck for the Ferrari when it caught fire at the rear, forcing its retirement with 105 minutes remaining.

The Heart of Racing #27 Aston Martin continued its impressive start to the season, securing its third podium in four races. Meanwhile, the #70 Inception Racing Ferrari made the most of the caution period, climbing from ninth on the grid to finish third.
